Admission Process

Prospectus and Application Folders are also available at from the College Office / Don Bosco School, Pai Gate (Hapoli), & St. Joseph’s Cathedral Church, Nyokum Lapang (Itanagar).

** Entrance Test applies to only those applicants who did not make it to the First List (First Cycle) and those having less than 50% of marks (separately for English Core and major Electives) in the qualifying examination (Class XII exam). All applicants to B. Com course from Commerce Stream with less than 60% and ALL applicants from Arts stream (with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics as one of the electives) will take an Entrance Aptitude Test.

Admission Procedure

The minimum qualification for applying to SCCZ is: at least 45% marks in Class XII examination (or its equivalent).

Only those students who are desirous of regular attendance, academic commitment, and mature, disciplined behavior need apply. Any serious disciplinary issue may result in dismissal of the student from the College.

Application for Admission should be in the prescribed form issued by the Office of Admissions. Application Folders are issued from College Office as well as a few other recognized centres (which are duly notified through advertisement) for a payment of a Rs. 300/-. An Application Folder contains the Prospectus, Course & Fee Details, and Application Form. They are also available on the website www.sccz.edu.in

Students who have passed Class XII from National Open School are also eligible for admission, as per Rajiv Gandhi University directives (REGN/4051/1994-95 Vol-II/193, Dated 23rd March 2009.)

Applications can be submitted ‘Online’ or ‘Offline’ Applications should be submitted on or before June 07 (for First Cycle) and June 17 (for Second Cycle).

Offline Submission: Only photocopies of the documents should be submitted along with the application form. Incomplete Applications will not be processed.

Online Submission

  • Log on to www.sccz.edu.in. Go to “Online Form Submission 2017-18” and follow the instructions.
  • Payment can be made using Debit/Credit cards, Vouchers*, DD, etc.
  • *Vouchers can be obtained along with the prospectus from the following places:
    SCCZ Office, Ziro, Don Bosco School, Hapoli, St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Nyokum Lapang, St. Claret School, Chimpu, Itanagar, and St. Claret School, Boasimla.

After the expiry of the deadline for submission of application, the following steps are taken to ensure fair and streamlined admission process:

  • Scrutiny of Applications submitted: 2-3 days after submission deadline
  • Release of the First Selection List: The day after scrutiny ends.
  • Admission—First Cycle: 3-4 days after the release of the First Merit List. Each
    student who is offered seat must take admission on the date and the time specified for his/her admission, failing which his/her seat may be offered to the waitlisted candidates. He/she must be present in person for admission together with at least one of the parents or guardian.
  • If seats are still not filled, those applicants who did not make it to the first list will
    be issued admit cards for a written test. Written Admission Test is mandatory for all those who did not make it to the first list as well as those below 50% (for B.A. General & Mass Communication) and below 60% ( for B.Com) of marks in Class XII.
  • The Second List of Admissions (based on the results of the Admission Test) will be released a few days after the written test.
  • Admission—Second and Final Cycle: 2-3 days after the release of the Second List.

All Original Certificates should be produced at the time of admission only.

The Admission Process includes Interview, Payment of Fees, and Campus Culture Briefing.

       Upon admission to SCCZ, the student should open an account with the State Bank before the class begins, and submit a copy of the first page of the bank passbook to the College Office.

Upon admission, the student must submit the Anti-Ragging Affidavit online ( www.amanmovement.org  or   www.antiragging.in) and submit the copy of submission statement to the College Office. 

There are no re-admissions at SCCZ.

All admissions are subject to the approval of Rajiv Gandhi University.

Documents to be Submitted

The following documents should be submitted (two copies each along with the Application form. In case of online submission the following documents must be uploaded.

On Admission, another two copies along with the originals):

  • Class X Certificate
  • Class XII Marks Card
  • Transfer Certificate
  • ST/SC Certificate
  • 5 Passport-size & 3 Stamp-size Photos
  • Migration Certificate (only for a candidate who has done Class XII other than CBSE)
  • Eligibility Certificate (only for a candidate who has done a course other than 10+2 pattern)
  • Gap Certificate (only for a candidate who has had break in years after Class XII)
  • Inner Line Permit (only for non-Arunachalee)

Fee Regulations

The Fees shall be paid according to the Fee Structure, as per the instalment provisions. The first installment of the tuition fee must be paid on the day of admission. Failure to pay further installments at the notified dates will result in appropriate censures.

Students shall keep the ‘Student Copy’ of the challan as well as all receipts issued by the College for future reference.

A student joining the college after the commencement of the academic year shall pay the full fees for the year.

Refund Policy: If a student, after taking admission at SCCZ, wishes to cancel the admission, the following refund policy will apply: Only semestral fee, course fee, & security deposit are refundable, on production of original receipts. No refund after July 31 of the year.  

Specific Norms For Promotion To Higher Semesters

Claretines who have passed a lower semester under Rajiv Gandhi University B. A./ B. Com program is eligible to apply to the next higher semester. Admission to the higher semesters are generally open to only Claretines who are in good standing, who have cleared the previous semester studies, as per the RGU provisions. Minimum 75% attendance for curricular and co-curricular activities without the assistance of the ‘Leave of Absence Slip’ is needed for promotion. The College reserves the right to deny re-admission to any student if he/she had been booked for any serious indiscipline and his/her conduct/performance had been far from satisfactory and/or scandalous in the previous year(s). Those who have less than 60% of attendance in the previous semester may not be granted admission. The eligible students may apply in the prescribed promotional application form, issued from the College Office.

3 Passport-size & 3 Stamp-size Photographs (only during admission to the third and the fifth semesters)

Specific Norms For Transfer Admissions

As a general policy, Rajiv Gandhi University discourages inter-college transfer of students. Therefore, SCCZ too discourages transfer applications. However, in a special circumstance, a candidate may be admitted to SCCZ on transfer provided SCCZ has the same combination the transfer applicant studied in the previous institute and he/she has a good attendance, conduct, and performance track record. A transfer applicant must produce due permission statement from RGU as well as transfer certificate, proof of classes attended, inter-college migration certificate from the college last attended, and written permission from RGU. He/she must apply to SCCZ on the prescribed Admission Application form & Promotional Application Form (if it is to a higher semester), with the documents listed below.
